Over the years, it has repeatedly become apparent that many Master’s and Bachelor’s theses present new material and reveal interesting findings. In virtually every department in Germany, there are numerous theses that are worthy of being made available to a wider audience, and this applies in particular to theses based on field research.  This gave rise to the idea of a series that reflects this approach, published under the title “Kölner ethnologische Beiträge”.

Other works based on research carried out at our institute may also be published in this series.
